We will be filming one day this week because we have not been able to film earlier due to lack of equipment. Me and George will be filming and four of our friends will be acting in our piece for us.
The equipment we plan to use are a hockey stick, tape and balaclava's. These props will all help to create effect and improve the standard of our piece.
For the filming we will use a tripod to mount the camera on so we will have better quality filming and it will be easier to get more effective and smother shots.

Location
This is where we are going to be shooting our film. It is an alleyway near where George lives and is ideal for our piece. It is quiet and enclosed and we will not get interrupted down here. Also, at night times it is light by a single light and can be really eerie and scary which will help us because the genre of our film is Action/Thriller.
Our piece has a kidnapping and a fight scene taking place in it and this isolated area will help with this because no one would be able to see what was happening if it was real life.

2nd Deconstruction Review
This is film opening from Legally Blonde. It is a comedy based chick flick which is more attractive to girls than boys. It starts off with the credits of all the people’s names being shown over the starting action. This interested me as I felt that this was a possibility for our piece. Then it goes on to show other things that girls of a young age enjoy doing. This is different because it only attracts a certain target audience and does not appeal to a wider audience.
For the first 4:30 it is mainly based around girly topics and this would probably not interest a person of the male gender. I think that this would be a hard film to get into if you were not interested in these certain topics.

1st Deconstruction Review
This is stills from the opening of Transformers 2. It is an action based film with loads of special effects to help this. It starts of quite quick with a big action packed start which introduces a lot of the main characters but does not introduce the main one. This is uncharacteristic of other films because they usually start of showing the main character and introducing them before the action starts. We thought about this for our piece but we decided our piece was too short to do it.
Overall I think it is a good opening and targets people of all ages and genders because it has themes and motifs that attract every stereotype. It is a film from our chosen genre so will help us in our media piece. Also, the special effects are really good and are something which we could discuss to see whether we could put them in our own performance.

Tom and Maria are walking down a road a cut through a dark alley. Two large hooded figures emerge out of the other end of the alley blocking the entrance.
(Laughing between Maria and Tom)
Maria: It’s been a good night enit
Tom: Ye its been great
Maria: What you wana do tomorrow
Tom: err...I duno, Cinema?
Maria: Ye but I ent go any money, and feel really guilty letting you pay
Tom: its ok, I’ll pay cuz I love you.
Maria: I love you too
(Two goons come out the other end of the alley)
Tom W: Gives us the girl
Jack S: Give us the girl or it’ll get real ugly
(Tom moves Maria behind his back)
Tom: Look, you want money? Here, take my wallet.
Jack S: We don’t want your money! Just give us the girl NOW!
(The two goons move forward, towards the couple, they attack tom and beat him to the floor)
Tom: Run Maria... Run!
(Tom is then knocked unconscious)
(Maria turns to run, but is grabbed by the two goons and is dragged out of the ally)
(Maria struggles)
Maria: Let me go!
Tom W: I don’t think so after all the trouble we’ve gone through to get you.

Review of Storyboard
This is our storyboard. It is a basic outline of what we want our piece to look like and in what order it will go. It is our plot to our piece but we might change minor things if it helps improve the quality of our piece.
Summary of Results
The results were slightly different to what I anticipated because people had very different and contrasting ideas.
The results for Question 1 showed that most people would prefer to watch a comedy to any other type of film. This was ok for us as it suited our ideas and we felt that we could incorporate this into our piece.
Question 2 was very unexpected as we thought that a majority of people would have preferred a action packed start to a slow and steady one. This is okay because we can work around this.
Question 3 was another big suprise for us. Nearly everyone preferred to have professional actors than amateur ones. We did not think this would be the case because it is only an amateur film and not a big Hollywood blockbuster. We have decided to stay using amateur actors because we cannot afford professionals.
The final Question was quite evenly answered. About half said that special effects did not matter in the film so we have decided to keep it this way otherwise it would have been to technical.

Questionnaire
Below is my Questionnaire that I created and handed out to random amount of people to find out what type of films and certain aspects of films they like. I did this so that I have a clearer view of what to base my film on and what things I should include in it to improve the quality of it and the standard of filming.
The first question asks the reader, What type of film do they like to watch? I asked this because I thought that if their was a big majority favouring one certain type of genre then that is what we should base our film on.
Question two asks the reader, What type of start do they like? This is because then we would find out people's preferences when it comes to openings and then we would decide our's based on this.

To find out what most people would like to see in a film I decided to create a Questionnaire that I could send to a wide range of people and the answers that I got back would be different to others which would help me gain a large variety of answers.

Below is some of the ideas that we have thought about and researched for our piece. Some of them would have worked better and been easier to do than others but some of these we felt we're out of our capabilities and it did not meet our target audience.

We have decided to do a short opening of a film and our chosen Genre is Action/Thriller. This helps us as we can add emotion and passion into our piece which will help the viewer gain more enjoyment from our film.

For my Main Task I have chosen to work with George Thompson as I feel that we can work well together and will bring each other's full potential out. We both work best doing a Comedy or action piece so have come up with some ideas on what we could do.
